I really dig houses, as some kind of logical extension of that. I like routine, and have a very high threshold for repetition (one of the things that lets me run daily without getting bored). I like doing fiddly things with my hands. I literally buy bricks of post-it notes to just have something to fold and refold to keep my hands occupied. My three favorite authors are Terry Pratchett, Gibson, and China Mieville. If I watch TV, I watch literally (literally-literally, not figuratively-literally) one channel, PBS Create-TV.
Sort of a homebody. "Sort of" is soft-pedaling "very much." Between low/mid-grade social anxiety and mid-grade hearing damage (played in bands too loud), going out to bars or concerts is tricky. If I have someone to go with, an anchor to tether myself to, concerts are great fun. I tend to go to sludge/stoner/metal shows, but I listen to metal maybe the least? All kinds of things catch my ear from POS to Lightning Bolt to Cattle Decapitation to Tijoux to La Rue to Yonder Mountain String Band to Brown. But its mostly nights in than nights out. Netflix and HBO Go and the like. You know what I dig? Curling up on the couch. Reading, gaming, watching movies, browsing the net, together or separately, but sharing space, yknow?
I reckon I am the flip-side of spontaneous adventure. Reliable, responsible, dependable. Seems to me that if there are women out there who want a mile-a-minute lifestyle, there aught to be some who yearn for the other end of the spectrum, right? Who doesnt like getting dressed up and going out looking like a million bucks? Who also doesnt love their beat-up basketball shorts and shirt with the sleeves cut off even more?
