Please don't be tedious! So it seems as though Craigslist is not a fan of allowing me to post ads. I take all this time writing something meant weed out the sorts of guys I'm not into for one reason or another and then go to post, and the damned thing never goes live. Then I opt for the 'short and sweet' version and end up with barely literate, imbeciles filling up my 'in-box' because that one DID post! WTF?! Apparently, I might be exceeding the allowable characters quotient. Hmph!

You'll notice right away that I write...a lot. I value thorough, deep and constant communication. I'm not into ESP, mind-reading and all that new-age jazz, so please don't make me guess what the hell is going on with you, or make me have to decipher your poorly worded, chat-speak typed message. I'm an atheist. There I said it. If you don't like it, or feel a need to convert me, don't bother messaging. Many a bible fanatic attempted in high-school and college. While I love me some zombies, I choose not to worship one. That said, I think it's great to have historical images or 'ideals' to look up to, and enjoy eastern philosophy, especially the tenets of buddhism. I work in the counseling profession and will be headed back to school next year full-time and am excited about that. I'm a bit of a smarty-pants, a thinker and a doer. I'm rarely content to just sit back and bitch about what's wrong. I look for ways to contribute to a solution. I like making lists. I like farmer's markets, art walks, nature, traveling to far off destinations, immersing myself in different cultures, giving back, helping out, entertaining friends and family, holidays, puppies (all dogs are really just big puppies), and affection.
******DISCLAIMER******** 1. I was once married, for a long time, to my college sweetheart. We never had children, and while there were things about him and us as a couple that weren't right, our relationship was stable and loving and healthy and I have no intention of settling for less than I received in that situation. 2. While I don't mind recreational use of THC, I have no desire to date or get to know someone whose idea of 'recreational' is EVERYDAY (usually multiple times a day). 3. I'm not the size of a stick insect, and I'm not nearly as unattractive as one either.
Obviously, it's different strokes for different folks, but I've been ed: gorgeous, sexy, stunning, cute, adorable, beautiful, etc. I'm sure many of you reading would agree. I'm super tall for a chick, and would love to find someone my height 5'10" or taller. Some initial attraction is key, wouldn't you agree? That being said, and not to be shallow, but I'm an attractive girl, so I'm looking for an attractive guy, though I do like glasses on guys and have a definitely 'thing' for fingers, hands and arms....go figure. My ex played soccer and basketball and so I have a natural attraction to similar body types.
So what am I looking for in a dating partner? Someone as awesome as myself. Someone balanced emotionally, level-headed, responsible, sweet, caring, compassionate, fun to be around, intelligent (book and life smart). I tend to be drawn to guys with careers in computer, aero-space and electrical engineering. Never met an engineer who was reckless or thoughtless, though I would like to find one capable of expressing and communicating their emotions. LOL This isn't to say you have to be an engineer at all, but I would prefer that you be in or pursuing a career as I have no desire to be the one picking up the tab for every dinner or date night. Blech! I come from the south where men are expected to treat women with respect, like objects worth cherishing....and while I recognize that many a woman has done her share to ruin that for the rest of us, I can assure you I'm not one of them. I won't be 'settling' on the wrong guy and I wouldn't want anyone settling for me.... so if you think we might get along, drop me a line and let's chat and find out, shall we?
Things that I can't stand, don't like or are personal pet peeves: Facial hair (don't see the point really, except to catch crumbs, store sweat, and stab my sensitive skin), people who can't or won't keep appointments or be on time, people rude to service staff and likewise, people who work in customer service and don't provide good customer service, 'fusion' restaurants, eating anything at Cheesecake factory but cheesecake, homophobes, arrogance, religious zealotry, the Creationist "museum" (but still plan to visit it to giggle and take pictures!), guys who are EXTREEEEEME about their sports(which likely means I need to get my degree then move back east since I have yet to meet one whose hobby isn't an obsession out here in Colorado).
Yes, this is my happy medium. :P

Finding Something New 30 Well good early morning guys. I have found that posting things on here is a hit or miss kind of thing and I have had nothing but misses lately.
